The brief, the build, the difference it made

Serenity Method website built on SquarespaceSquarespace
Coaching & wellbeing practice

Serenity Method

A one-to-one practice with a strong method but no online home — rebuilt as a calm, bookable site the founder can run herself.

The challenge

Sara's practice ran almost entirely on word of mouth and DMs. There was no single place that explained the method, showed who it was for, or let someone take the next step, so every enquiry started from scratch and a lot of interest quietly went cold. She also needed to own the site afterwards without waiting on a developer for small edits.

Work done

  • Mapped the offer into a clear page structure: the method, who it helps, what a session looks like, and a single next step.
  • Built a Squarespace type and colour system — restrained palette, generous spacing, one heading scale — so the site reads calm rather than busy.
  • Wrote and shaped the page copy around the client's own language, replacing template filler with the practice's real voice.
  • Put one primary call to action on every screen and connected enquiries to a form and direct messaging.
  • Set page titles, descriptions and headings for search, and made every layout work on a phone first.
  • Ran a live handover session and left her with a written guide to editing pages, sections and content herself.

Improvements

  • One clear enquiry path replaced scattered DMs — visitors now arrive already understanding the offer.
  • Fully mobile-first layouts, where most of her audience actually finds her.
  • Search-ready structure and page metadata for her service and location terms.
  • Client independently updates content post-launch, with ongoing support on WhatsApp.
“ACE helped me build my website and gave me clear guidance on how to work on it myself. Not only do they care for your business, but take into account your personal life.”

Boston General Store website built on ShopifyShopify
Curated retail & homewares

Boston General Store

A carefully curated modern general store where the job was to make hundreds of small-ticket products browsable — and buyable — without losing the shop's character.

The challenge

A deep, varied catalogue of homewares and gifts is easy to get lost in. Shoppers landed on broad collections, scrolled, and left without ever reaching a product page. Product detail was thin and inconsistent, so anything not self-explanatory raised questions the page never answered, and the path from browsing to checkout had more steps than it needed.

Work done

  • Restructured collections and navigation around how people actually shop — by room, occasion and gift intent, not just by supplier category.
  • Rebuilt the product page template: larger imagery, materials and care detail, sizing, and shipping expectations answered above the fold.
  • Tightened the buying path — cart drawer, clear pricing and shipping thresholds, fewer clicks from collection to checkout.
  • Added cross-sell blocks so a single small purchase turns into a basket.
  • Configured payments, shipping zones and rates properly, plus email capture with a welcome flow for first-time visitors.
  • Compressed and lazy-loaded a very image-heavy catalogue so collection pages stay quick.

Improvements

  • Fewer dead-end collection visits — clearer routes from landing page to a specific product.
  • Product pages that answer objections before checkout instead of inviting emails.
  • Higher basket potential through considered cross-sells rather than discounting.
  • Faster image-heavy pages and a checkout flow with the friction taken out.

Seven Grams Caffe website built on WixWix
Multi-location café & coffee brand

Seven Grams Caffe

A multi-location café that needed to look like the brand it is — and get people to a location, a menu or a bag of beans in one tap.

The challenge

Most visitors arrived on a phone with one of three questions: where are you, what do you serve, and can I order. The site made all three hard. Locations and hours were buried, the menu wasn't easy to scan on mobile, and the retail side of the brand sat apart from the café story instead of supporting it.

Work done

  • Rebuilt the site mobile-first, with locations, hours and directions reachable from the first screen.
  • Designed a menu layout that scans quickly on a phone, no pinching or PDFs.
  • Brought the café's photography and voice through the whole site so it feels like the room it's selling.
  • Connected online ordering and bean sales into the same journey as the café pages.
  • Set up local SEO fundamentals — per-location pages, structured details, consistent naming.
  • Optimised heavy food photography so pages load fast on mobile data.

Improvements

  • Locations, hours and directions found in one tap instead of several.
  • Menu readable on any phone, without a PDF download.
  • Retail and café journeys joined up, so brand traffic can also buy.
  • Local search groundwork in place for each location.

Cookie and Kate website built on WordPressWordPress
High-traffic food publisher

Cookie and Kate

A large recipe publisher where the whole challenge is scale: thousands of pages, heavy imagery, and readers who leave if a page hesitates.

The challenge

Content-heavy publishing punishes every inefficiency. With a huge archive, big images and ad and plugin weight on every request, pages get slow, Core Web Vitals slip, and search visibility and ad revenue follow. Readers also needed to actually find the right recipe inside an archive far too large to browse.

Work done

  • Audited the plugin stack and removed or replaced anything duplicating work or loading site-wide for one page.
  • Cut page weight: image compression and modern formats, lazy loading, deferred non-critical scripts, and caching.
  • Improved Core Web Vitals — layout stability and largest-contentful-paint on recipe templates specifically.
  • Restructured archive navigation, categories and internal linking so readers move from one recipe to the next.
  • Strengthened on-page SEO and recipe markup so listings show properly in search.
  • Kept the recipe template clean and readable while the commercial elements stay in place.

Improvements

  • Lighter, faster recipe pages under real content and ad weight.
  • More stable layout and better Core Web Vitals on the templates that get the traffic.
  • Deeper sessions — readers move through the archive instead of bouncing after one recipe.
  • Search-ready recipe markup and cleaner internal linking across thousands of pages.

Wix Websites

Wix is my go-to when a business needs to be live and looking premium in days, not months. The editor gives me pixel control without heavy dev overhead, so personal brands, service businesses and boutique studios get a polished, mobile-perfect site quickly — with built-in SEO tools, bookings and payments already wired in. Clients typically leave with a site that loads fast, ranks for their local terms, and turns visitors into enquiries.

Squarespace Websites

Squarespace is built for coaches, creatives and personal brands who need to look considered. Its typography and style controls let me set a real type system — spacing, scale, rhythm — so the site reads like a brand rather than a template. Add clean galleries, scheduling and simple commerce, and clients get a calm, credible site they can actually update themselves.

Shopify Stores

For retail and CPG brands, every decision on a Shopify build is a revenue decision. I design product pages that answer objections before they're asked, tighten the path from collection to checkout, and weave brand storytelling through the journey so price isn't the only thing shoppers compare. Payments, shipping and email flows are configured properly so the store keeps selling after launch.

WordPress Websites

When a site has hundreds of posts, multiple authors, or requirements no template covers, WordPress wins. I build custom themes with clean structure, configure only the plugins that earn their keep, and keep pages fast under real content weight. Ideal for blogs, publishers and growing brands that need full ownership and room to expand.
